Yes. The Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act covers any new vehicle purchased or leased in California that has a manufacturer warranty. If your DBX has a substantial defect the dealer cannot fix after a reasonable number of attempts, you may be entitled to a refund or replacement.

Under Song-Beverly, a vehicle may qualify if the same defect remains after two or more repair attempts for a safety-related issue, or four or more attempts for other defects. Alternatively, if your DBX has been out of service for more than 30 cumulative days, it may also qualify.

Yes. California Lemon Law protects both purchasers and lessees of new vehicles. As a lessee, you have the same rights to a refund of lease payments or a replacement vehicle if the DBX cannot be repaired within a reasonable number of attempts.

You may receive a full refund of the purchase price, including taxes, registration fees, and incidental costs, minus a reasonable mileage offset. Alternatively, you can receive a comparable replacement vehicle. The manufacturer must also cover your attorney fees if you prevail.
