Lamborghini Aventador Lemon Law FAQ

My Aventador's V12 has a lifter tick the dealer cannot fix. What are my options?

Under the Song-Beverly Act, if the dealer has attempted to repair the lifter tick multiple times without success, you may be entitled to a full buyback or replacement vehicle. Consult a California Lemon Law attorney to review your repair history and assess your claim.

The Aventador is a limited-production supercar. Does this affect my Lemon Law rights?

No. The Song-Beverly Act applies equally to all new vehicles sold with a warranty in California, regardless of production volume or price. A limited-production vehicle is subject to the same warranty repair obligations as any mass-market car.

Can Lamborghini claim my Aventador's harsh shifting is a characteristic of the ISR gearbox?

The manufacturer may argue that some characteristics are inherent to the design, but a defect that substantially impairs use or value is still actionable. If the harshness exceeds what is disclosed or expected and the dealer cannot improve it, you may have a valid Lemon Law claim.

Will a Lemon Law buyback on my Aventador include taxes and registration fees?

Yes. Under the Song-Beverly Act, a full buyback includes the purchase price, sales tax, registration fees, and incidental costs such as towing and rental cars. The only deduction is a mileage offset for the period before the first repair attempt.
