The most common Song-Beverly remedy: the manufacturer refunds your purchase price (less the mileage offset), plus finance charges and incidental damages. You return the vehicle.
Vehicle Replacement
Statutory alternative to the buyback under §1793.2(d)(2)(B): the manufacturer provides a substantially identical replacement vehicle instead of a cash refund.
Cash-and-Keep Settlement
A negotiated settlement where you keep the vehicle and receive partial compensation. Not a statutory remedy — a deal struck in lieu of a buyback or replacement.
